Download Foverix
The signed Foverix 1.0 download will be linked here only after the exact release artifact passes notarization and clean-Mac verification. Until then, no preview or unverified installer is presented as a customer download.
System requirement: Foverix 1.0 runs only on macOS 15 or later with Apple silicon (M-series). Intel Macs are not supported. More than 16 GB of memory (RAM) is recommended; Macs with 16 GB or less run a reduced processing profile (single-pass captions, one caption request at a time). Local AI needs about 11 GB of free disk; the guided setup checks for 12 GB free.
See release notes and system requirements before installing.
Install on your Mac
- Download the official DMG from Foverix.com.
- Open it and drag Foverix to Applications.
- Launch Foverix from Applications. Do not bypass a macOS security warning; contact support instead.
Getting started
Five steps from a fresh install to a package you can upload. Nothing in this sequence uploads anything to an agency for you. Every new install starts a 14-day trial of the full workflow — no card, no account — with 50 managed-AI images included; afterwards the Free plan continues at 100 images/month, 1 agency, and 1 batch at a time.
1. First launch
The release DMG and the app inside it are Developer-ID signed and notarized by Apple, so the first launch is an ordinary macOS confirmation: double-click Foverix in Applications and choose Open. If macOS instead reports that the app is damaged, unverified, or from an unidentified developer, stop — that build did not come from Foverix.com. Do not disable Gatekeeper or work around the warning; email support instead.
2. Start your first batch
- On the Home screen, drop a folder of photos or use Choose folder.
- Foverix counts the frames and file types it found. Check the batch name and the output folder — the default output is
~/Pictures/Foverix/Processed. - Pick a quality-gate preset. Recommended is the default; the advanced drawer exposes the gate threshold and the per-axis weights.
- Confirm the Caption Engine shown for the run. Local, bring-your-own-key, and Managed AI are all selectable in Settings → Caption Engine; with no engine configured, frames are still culled and grouped but get no titles, descriptions, or keywords.
- Choose Start pipeline. Pick folders under Pictures, Documents, Downloads, or Desktop — other locations are refused for security.
Batch size: keep a batch at 5,000 images or fewer. Above that, 03 Group stops with an error instead of grouping near-duplicates and the frames stay queued; split the folder and run two batches.
3. Watch the seven stages
The pipeline view shows live progress through 01 Intake, 02 Curate, 03 Group, 04 Series, 05 Describe, 06 Tag, and 07 Finalize, with per-stage counts and an activity log. A batch can be paused and resumed; it does not have to finish in one sitting.
4. Review what the run decided
- Frames — the contact grid with filter chips for All, Accepted, Rejected, Pending, Queued, Heroes, and Flagged. The detail panel shows the decision, the diagnostic metrics that were measured, and the reason a frame was rejected. Every decision can be overridden.
- Series — bursts and near-duplicates grouped into stacks, with the suggested hero. Choose a different hero, or reject a whole stack.
- Metadata — title, description, and ordered keywords with live character and keyword counters against each agency's limits, plus the Editorial flag. Edits are saved as overrides and are what the export ships. An Editorial frame only gets its structured caption when the frame carries city or country location data alongside a capture date, and that location data comes from the GPS place lookup, which stays off until you enable location lookup in Settings. Without it the export excludes the frame with an actionable error rather than inventing a place.
- Safety — frames where a logo or trademark may be visible. Mark them Editorial, remove the flag, or ignore it before you build a commercial package.
5. Build the package
Open the export wizard, choose the agencies, and check the readiness count per agency. The wizard previews the exact CSV rows — including your edits — before anything is written, and you can change the destination folder. Choose Build, then Reveal in Finder. The Deliveries tab records what was built, for which agency, and when.
Upload to Shutterstock and Adobe Stock
Foverix builds an upload package on your Mac. You upload it yourself, in the agency's own contributor portal.
What is in the package
- images/ — the exported images, with your reviewed metadata written into each file's IPTC fields
- shutterstock_export.csv — columns Filename, Description, Keywords, Categories, Editorial
- adobe_export.csv — columns Filename, Title, Keywords, Category, Releases. Adobe's template has no Description column; its Title is the descriptive field.
- filezilla_queue.xml — an optional queue file for FTP uploads
- README.txt — the per-package record: what was included, what was excluded and why, and the upload steps below
XMP sidecars are written beside your RAW originals, not inside the package, so the folder you upload stays agency-clean. In both CSVs the Filename column is the join key the agency uses to match a row to an image, so do not rename the exported files.
Shutterstock
- Open the contributor portal at submit.shutterstock.com.
- Upload the images from the package's images/ folder.
- Import shutterstock_export.csv if you are using the bulk upload path.
The Editorial column is yes or no. For editorial frames, Foverix ships the structured editorial caption in Description.
Adobe Stock
- Open the contributor portal at contributor.stock.adobe.com.
- Upload the images, then import adobe_export.csv as the metadata file.
- Attach model or property releases for every row that lists one in the Releases column.
What still has to be done in the portal
License type and release status are recorded in the package README but are not agency CSV columns — set them in the portal. Some agency categories may also need adjusting there. Foverix validates against each agency's published rules before it builds; it does not submit for you, and no tool can promise that an agency will accept a file.
Activate your license
Open Foverix, choose the existing activation action, and paste the license key delivered to the purchase email address. License keys are not published in checkout URLs or on this page.
Didn’t receive your key?
Use the recovery action in the activation sheet, check the spam folder, then contact support@foverix.com if delivery still has not arrived. Do not send card details.
Updates
Automatic update checks are off in Foverix 1.0. Use the app’s manual Check for Updates command and confirm that the update source is Foverix.com.
Contact support
Email support@foverix.com with the Foverix version, macOS version, the safe error message shown by the app, and the step that failed. Do not attach API keys, license keys, payment-card details, or private photographs unless support explicitly asks for a safe diagnostic.
